Useful Teaching Aids for Your Classroom

Digital Resources

Seeing as a number of teachers have requested it, I’ve added a digital resources section to the website! These are some sets of cards that I (actually, his assistant/daughter) put together to print out and use in classroom activities. There’s no specific activity attached to them, so feel free to use them as you please. It might be a game of in-betweenies, get me to 10/get me to 1000, or even just having your students sort them from highest to lowest.

Physical Resources

These are some useful bits and pieces that I’d reccommend having around your classroom if you can. They’re great for classroom activities and can be handy tools for kids to use in their problem solving strategies, especially in the younger year levels. Some of them, like the old phone books, might be a bit hard to find these days!

RECOMMENDED REFERENCES/RESOURCE BOOKS:

It’s almost impossible to keep up with all the publications that are out there
for maths – and triple that for keeping up with on-line resources – but here
are some reference/resource books that I really trust and that are
philosophically sound.
